On Feb 18th Smart Energy has officially opened the first CNG station on mainland Singapore at 1 Mandai Link.

With 20 filling hoses and a capacity of more than 200 taxis per hour Singapore has now one of the finest CNG stations. Busses as well as CNG trailers can be filled on this multipurpose CNG station

Working principle:

The compressor (B) takes the gas from the pipeline (A) and compress it either into the storage (D) or into the variable storage (I) through the control of the priority panel (C). The refuelling of the vehicles takes place through the dispenser (E) which, opening the connection between the delivery line of the gas and the tank of the vehicles, allows the gas in the storage (D) to  flow into the tanks of the vehicles by difference of pressure. When the pressure reduces under a certain limit, the injection pump (G) provides aspiration of liquid from the tank (F) and its delivery, at maximum pressure, to the variable volume  storage (I). Through the high pressure bank the gas is then sent to dispensers.
